The HCG Group a multifaceted business organization was started in the pre-independence era 1946. when its flagship company THE COMMERCIAL MOTORS LTD. was formed by group founder Late Shri Hukum Chand Gupta as dealers of General Motors for Chevrolet, Buick, Impala, Plymouth with its showroom at 11 Mall Road Lucknow (Now known as 11 Mahatma Gandhi Marg. Hazratganj). This company headed by Shri Hukum Chand Gupta’s son- Shri Rakesh Gupta built a sound reputation of delivering quality products and service and was instrumental in starting the automobile revolution in Northern India.

Then HCG Group is now known as SRG Group with its flagship company The Commercial Motors Ltd which is now a diversified and established business organization with business verticals in Hotels , Manufacturing (Automotive), Education, Entertainment and Real Estate . This diversification was spearheaded under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rakesh Gupta with his diverse experience and flawless reputation of being one of the most admired and respected businessmen of Northern India.
